Circumstances

Having finished patrolling his beat he heard muffled voices coming from a building site and went to investigate and recognised the thieves at once. He saw they were stealing timber. The culprits fled before PC Davey could arrest them. PC Davey finished duty duty and went home. A few hours later PC Davey opened his door and when he opened it he was confronted by one of the thieves from the building site who shot him in the head.
