Died as a result of injuries received on 15 November when the police car in which he was travelling to a Special Constabulary Conference was in a head-on collision with an armoured car at Melbourn.

Died from the injuries he sustained ten days earlier when the police car in which he was travelling to a Special Constabulary Conference was in a head-on collision with an armoured car at Melbourn. Special Constabulary Commandant Reginald Nicholson died from his injuries on the day of the accident.
