Circumstances

Killed together with three colleagues in their police patrol car by the explosion of a terrorist bomb placed in a trailer near the road where they were escorting a security vehicle at Killeen, Newry.

Three other officers, Inspector William James Wilson, Constable David James Ronald Baird and Reserve Constable Stephen George Rodgers, were also killed in the explosion that, shortly before 10:00am, destroyed their armour-plated patrol car as they escorted a security vehicle taking money to a bank in Belfast.

Tracy’s funeral service was held in Ballywatt Presbyterian Church, Coleraine, where she was due to have married the following September.
