Took his own life while suffering from mental illness after sustaining a serious head injury when policing labour disputes in Aberaman.

Circumstances

He suffered a serious injury whilst policing labour disputes in Aberamon which resulted in mental illness. He later committed suicide on the 30th November 1913. The post mortem attributed his death as due to the a haemorrhage on his brain caused by the previous head injury.

A post mortem examination revealed a brain haemorrhage caused by the earlier injury.
