Died in Steevens’s Hospital, the morning after being shot while off duty in a public house in Balbriggan, County Dublin.
Shot and fatally wounded, about 9:00pm, while off duty in Fagan’s public house in Balbriggan, County Dublin. He was assisted to the nearby RIC barracks and then taken to Steevens’s Hospital in Kilmainham, Dublin, where he died the following day.
