Killed when he was thrown from his police motorcycle after it hit a wall and a roadside signpost outside the Saracen’s Head Hotel in Cerrigydrudion, when he lost control of his machine as he swerved to avoid a stationary vehicle waiting to turn right, while travelling on the A5 from Wrexham to Colwyn Bay.
