Died nine years after sustaining serious head injuries when his police car was involved in a head-on collision.

Constable Jeffrys died from the injuries he sustained on 16th August 2002 when the unmarked police car he was driving on the A82 at Loch Lomond was struck head on by a vehicle on the wrong side of the road, killing the passenger, Constable James Clarke, and causing Neil serious head injuries from which he remained hospitalised until his death.

He had joined the police in August 1991 and at the time of his injury had been based in the Traffic at the Road Policing Complex in Govan.

He is survived by his wife, a serving officer, and three daughters.
