Died ten days after being shot at close range by terrorist gunmen while on late-night foot patrol with a colleague in Chapel Road, Waterside, Londonderry.
Linda was shot less than 100 yards from where her father, William Raymond Baggley, also an RUC Reserve Constable, died in a similar attack on 29th January 1974.
Her colleague, Constable Kenneth William Sheehan, was wounded but survived but ten months later, on 8th April 1977, he and another Constable were killed when they were shot by terrorists.
