Circumstances

On duty at Parcy Main Station, North Tyneside, he was was crossing from the South platform when he slipped. His left arm covered one of the rails and was crushed by a train pulling away. He was immediately taken home and two Doctors summoned but he died despite their efforts.

Died at home from his injuries after his left arm was crushed by a train leaving the South platform when he slipped as he crossed the line while on duty at Parcy Main Station, North Tyneside. Two doctors were summoned but they were unable to save the officer.
