Circumstances

Died from head injuries sustained on 12th December 1941 when knocked down by a cyclist while on foot patrol.

While on night-time foot patrol on 12th December 1914, PC Adams was struck by a cyclist and knocked to the ground, causing a serious head injury from which he died in hospital two weeks later, on 27th December.
