Circumstances

While on motorcycle patrol during the early evening, in heavy rain and poor visibility, he collided with a pedal cyclist near Laxey and was thrown from the motorcycle and fatally injured.

While on patrol during the early evening, in heavy rain and poor visibility, PC Black collided with a pedal cyclist at South Cape, Laxey, and was thrown from his motorcycle, sustaining fatal injuries.
