Fatally shot when terrorists attacked the RIC Barracks and a patrol in Ballyduff, County Kerry.
One of three Constables who were fatally shot when, the previous day, 31st October, a large terrorist unit attacked the RIC Barracks in Ballyduff, County Kerry, and a patrol that was in the village at the time.
Constable William Madden died on the day of the attack and Constable Robert Gorbey died from his wounds on 6th November.
