Circumstances

Having finished night duty he was walking home but due to severe flooding had to take alternative route. As he walked alongside the raiway line he was struck and killed by a passing train.

Sergeant Edmonds had finished his night duty and was walking home alongside the railway line, taking an alternative route due to severe flooding, when he was struck by a passing train and killed.
