Died in Alloa Hospital following the amputation of his leg that had become infected after it was broken in a fall.
About three weeks earlier, PC Anderson had slipped and fallen while on duty in Mill Street, Alloa, causing a compound fracture of his left leg.
He left a wife and several young children.
