Killed by a booby-trap bomb left by terrorists at the scene of a crime.

While examining some television sets, believed to have been stolen and left at a garage in Carranbane Walk, Londonderry, a bomb, placed amongst them by terrorists, exploded, killing DC Reeves and injuring two other officers.
