On patrol he was near a club at closing time, as the majority of patrons dispersed a group seemed to be remaining. Approaching the group a member of a local gang brandished a knife at PC Green. PC Green tackled the knifeman and arrested him, however he was then surrounded by the knifeman's friends who caused his escape. PC Green gave chase to the group as they ran off, apprehending one of the males fleeing PC Green was stabbed in the chest by the male who also had a knife.
