Died from the injuries he sustained when he was involved in a single-vehicle accident while travelling home from night duty.

About 7:40am, while travelling home from Milton Keynes police station, PC Clayton-Drabble was involved in a single-vehicle accident on an unclassified road between the A5 and Whittlebury, near Towcaster in Northamptonshire. Thames Valley Police’s Chief Constable said Daniel would be “very sadly missed”.

Daniel joined the force as a Special Constable in 2012 before joining as a regular Constable in 2014.

His colleagues lined the route at his funeral as the cortege arrived, with a police motorcade, at the Oak Chapel, Crownhill Crematorium in Milton Keynes, before being escorted to the chapel by officers from the force’s mounted section.

The Police Roll of Honour Trust presented Daniel’s family with a memorial plaque and scroll in his memory.
