Sustained fatal injuries when the police car he was in was involved in a collision with a van.

Died in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the marked police car in which he and another officer were travelling on the A47 towards Swaffham was involved in a collision with a van driving in the opposite direction at Scarning, near Dereham, in the early hours of the previous day.
