Roll of Honour Citation

Sustained fatal injuries when his vehicle was in a collision with a bus.

The Auxiliary Fire Service car that he was driving collided head-on with a bus on the New Edinburgh Road, Bellshill, during poor weather conditions. He later died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Two firemen accompanying him also died in the incident.

PC Malcolmson was an only child born on 11th January 1917. He joined Lanarkshire Constabulary in 1938.

He is buried in Bothwellpark Cemetery, Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.
