Fatally injured when his motorcycle ran into a stationary lorry in Coventry at night.
PC Loosemore was fatally injured when his motorcycle ran into a stationary lorry on Stonebridge Highway, between Baginton Road and Leamington Road, Coventry, at night.
Three months after joining Warwickshire Constabulary in March 1936, Arthur was posted to Rugby where he served for three years.
In April 1943 he volunteered to join the Royal Air Force but was released in September the following year to rejoin the police force, in the Warwick Borough Division.
Arthur was a single man, born in Bridgend, Glamorganshire.
