Circumstances

Having finished duty for the day PC Flint was travelling home on his motorbike when he was involved in a fatal collision with another vehicle in a lay-by on the A41.

Died when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a recovery vehicle parked in a lay-by on the A41 between the Chesham and Tring junctions in Hertfordshire after he was struck on the upper chest by one of two pheasants that flew across the road as he travelled home from duty.
