Presumed dead after he and a colleague were abducted by terrorists on 8th May 1921. His body has never been found.
Presumed dead after he and his colleague, Constable Alexander Thomas Clarke, were abducted by terrorists on 8th May 1921, while off duty walking together in Binnion, County Donegal. Constable Clarke’s body, with a gunshot wound to the head, was found in the sea the following day but Constable Murdock’s body has never been found.
